Description: The Effingham Railroad in Effingham IL is a small switching RR, perhaps the shortest short line RR in
the U.S. (or World?). It started out as a 400 foot long RR, switching a single warehouse and has expanded over 15
fold to a little over a mile and a half. If that isn't interesting, nothing is. The EFRR was started by Charlie
Barenfanger in 1996, and interchanges with the CSX and the CN.
