Description:   Glendale, OH is a northern suburb of Cincinnati, just west of I-75 exit 15. The double main CSX hosts
freights passing through town at speed. NB and SB B & O cantilevered bridge CPL signals used to flank both sides of
the Sharon Road crossing, but were replaced in late 2014.

Approximate # trains per 24 hours: 35

Nearby RR stuff: Operated by the Glendale Heritage Preservation, there is a Museum housed in the former
Cincinnati, Hamilton & Dayton Railroad Depot built in 1880 just 350 feet south of the intersection.

Other interesting or fun stuff: Glendale's symbol is the black squirrel. Twenty-five statues of squirrels in varying
attire have been placed by certain buildings in the style of downtown Cincinnati's Big Pig Gig.  Northwest of Glendale
maybe six miles is Jungle Jim’s International Market maybe the largest, most complete, and unique Supermarket in the
world.

Photo opportunities: Through CSX freights with the station Museum or the Cock and Bull in the background.

Gregariousness quotient: medium

Local breakfast: The Waffle House, 1 ¼ miles east on E. Sharon Rd. (even though Waffle House is a chain, I think
they make a great breakfast, so I list it here. (…It’s my page))

Local Pub and grub: The Cock and Bull $$ right next to the tracks in Glendale with an upstairs outside deck,
PERFECT for watching trains.

Best choice for lodging: Many of the national chains are located in the area of exit 15 on I-75. Most are on the
expensive side.

Personal observations: This is a great place to railfan with plenty of parking. Railfans congregate there frequently in
good weather, and The Cock and Bull is a great restaurant.
